Official data, not approximations
Official sources only
Tariff8AI imports its nomenclatures exclusively from official sources: publications from the European Commission for the TARIC and NC, and their national transpositions. We do not build our own taxonomies.
Annual updates
Customs nomenclatures are updated every year (generally on 1 January). Tariff8AI integrates these updates as soon as they are officially published. You always work on the version currently in force.
Complete position coverage
Each nomenclature is imported in its entirety: all chapters, all positions and subpositions, with their complete official headings. No arbitrary selection.

We prioritise based on demand
If your market is not yet covered, submit your need. We take requests into account to define our roadmap. You will be notified by email as soon as the nomenclature is available.
Questions about nomenclatures
The Combined Nomenclature (NC) is the 8-digit classification used for EU foreign trade statistics and for French customs declarations. The TARIC goes further: it adds 2 extra digits and integrates applicable tariff measures (customs duties, preferences, quotas, suspensions). For simple classification purposes, the NC is sufficient in most cases.
